Free State Squash Association
Squash in the Free State, from Pitch n Play to the national podium.
We are the provincial body for squash under Squash South Africa: the Winter and Summer Leagues, the Free State Closed, provincial teams, junior development and the largest schools squash tournament in the country, run by volunteers from Bloemfontein to Welkom and Parys.

St Andrew's are SA Top Schools champions
The St Andrew's School boys beat defending champions Selborne College 16–8 in the final to take the national Top Schools title for the second time. Eunice finished third in the girls' section. Read more

Summer League 2026/27 entries
Entry fees are due by 7 October 2026 on approval of a team. New this season: the player position list is published in advance for review, with a formal appeal process and penalties for playing out of position. Review the draft position list

- Jun 2026Masters Nationals — good finishes for the Free State men's B and D teams and the ladies' team.
- May 2026Free State Closed — Men's A: Kiran van Eeden beat Tremayne McDonald; Ladies: Sorika Engelbrecht beat Benedette van Tonder. 38 players took part.
- Apr 2026SA Junior Top 16 Closed — Cobus Schimper won the Boys U17 section in Johannesburg; Vivienne van der Schyff fifth in the girls and selected for World Juniors.
- Aug 2025Dean Katzin, SA U17 champion — won the Growthpoint SA Junior Nationals on the glass court at the V&A Waterfront. Jasmaine Rust runner-up in the U15 girls.
- Jun 2025Growthpoint Regional (Bloemfontein) — Luhann Groenewald and Lara Patrick won the men's and women's sections and went on to the finals in Cape Town.
- May 2025Free State Closed — Men's A: Tremayne McDonald; Men's B: Wiaan Coetzee; Ladies: Amy Greyvenstein.
- 2025Jarvis IPT (Gqeberha) — Free State A fifth in the B section, Free State B third in the D section.

Minutes, agendas and the constitution
The Association publishes the confirmed minutes of its general meetings, the chairman's annual report and its governing documents so that every club and player can see what the committee is doing on their behalf.
